Carl-Axel Acking was a Swedish architect, furniture designer and professor of design at the University of Lund. He started his career as assistant to the Swedish master architect Gunnar Asplund, who defined the Swedish expressions of both classicism and functionalism in the 1920s, establishing the tone for future architects and designers. Carl-Axel Acking (1910-2001) was a prominent architect, interior and industrial designer, who was particularly active during the 1940s and 1950s.
